Rabbi Moshe Monczyk – Director

Rabbi Monczyk has been an integral part of the camping world for many years. He currently lives in Cedarhurst, NY with his wife and 3 kids. Rabbi Monczyk has been with Camp Mogen Avraham for the last 18 summers and during his tenure he worked as a division head, assistant head counselor, and as the Assistant Director of the SHMA Boys’ Camps. Rabbi Monczyk’s experience in camp has covered a wide array of expertise in all facets of camping. During the year, Rabbi Monczyk is the Judaic Studies Principal at Shulamith of Brooklyn, and the General Studies Principal at Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin.

Rabbi Eli Klein – Head Counselor 

Rabbi Eli Klein is a well known name in the camping world. Having worked as a division head, night activity director, and special events coordinator in
Camp Achim for many years as well as previously running the Mesivta Division in Camp Toras Chaim Tashbar, he has the experience and expertise in all areas of camping. He combines his upbeat personality with energy and talent, delivering excitement and fun to any part of camp, with unparalleled  personal care and devotion to each camper.
During the year Rabbi Klein is the renown and beloved Mashgiach and Rebbi in Mesivta Of Eatontown.
Rabbi Klein lives in Jackson, NJ with his wife and 3 children.

Reb Binyomin Weinrib – Rav

Rabbi Binyomin Weinrib is the Rav of Beis Mordechai/Mordy’s Shteibel in Jackson, NJ. In a short time he has helped facilitate a warm, open environment, allowing young men from all backgrounds to find a place to daven, learn, grow together, and most importantly call a home.

Rabbi Weinrib is a talmid of Yeshiva of Philadelphia, Mir Yerushalayim and a musmach of Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz of Jerusalem Kollel. Growing up in an environment of Torah and Rabbanus, he follows family members and masterfully meshes litvishe learning with the warmth and passion of his earlier family’s Chassidic roots. His divrei Torah in nationally broadcast Fabrengen, shiurim and written chizuk reach a wide audience in a contemporary and engaging format.He is currently co-authoring his first volume, The Chinuch Treasury, a compendium of early life-cycle events. He maintains a close connection with Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz, Rav Yosef Elefant, Rav Elya Brudny, Rav Moshe Weinberger and others. Rabbi Weinrib lives in Lakewood, NJ, with his wife Leah and two beautiful daughters.

Rav Shmuel Aboud – Learning Director

Rabbi Aboud learned in Kollel Yeshivah Beis Yehuda Detroit for 3 years and now teaches 4th grade at Beis Yehudah Detroit, is assistant Rabbi of Ohr Hatorah and has been a division head and learning director in Camp Beis Yehudah for seven years. He works to strike the perfect balance between the level of ruchniyus and learning with fun and exciting activities. Rabbi Aboud is committed to making the learning at Camp Matziv engaging and fun while helping the boys grow in ruchniyus and preparing them for the upcoming school year. Raised in New York Brooklyn/Monsey, Rav Aboud is currently living in Southfield, MI, with his wife and five children.

R’ Yisroel Hecht – Program Director
Yisroel Hecht brings many years of camp experience to Camp Matziv. He has previously been a Division Head, Program Director and Assistant Head Counselor at Camp Nageela, and was the Head Counselor and Director of a day camp in South Florida. With his years of experience, combined with an upbeat, positive, and energetic personality, Yisroel knows what it takes to ensure every camper feels the magic of summer camp. After many years on the front-lines of Kiruv Rechokim, he is now the Director of Operations at Mizrahi Torah Academy, a Yeshiva Day School in South Florida. On the side he is a one-man-band, vocalist, DJ, and Bar Mitzvah party entertainment specialist. Yisroel lives in Boca Raton, FL with his wife and 3 children.

R’ Shimmy Eisemann – Teen Division Director

With over 15 years of camp experience as division head, head counselor and director, R’ Shimmy Eisemann’s incredible energy and wealth of camp experience brings Camp Matziv’s Teen Program to a new level.

As a 7th grade rebbe in Toras Emes Miami, R’ Shimmy loves to share both the seriousness and values of yiddishkeit with his boys, all with a fun twist!

Rabbi Hillel Brody – Eighth Grade Division Director

Rabbi Hillel Brody has been working in chinuch and kiruv for his entire career, mostly in Vancouver, Canada. Currently back home in the Midwest, he runs YES Connections, the kiruv arm of Yeshiva Elementary School in Milwaukee, where his enthusiasm, joy, and love of Torah make him a sought after mentor. After a year as a popular learning Rebbi at Matzav 2021, he is looking forward to bringing his warmth and excitement to his role this year as Senior Division Head.

Rabbi Ezra Kier – Junior Division Director

Rabbi Ezra Kier has been involved in chinuch and kiruv for over 15 years.He was a counselor in Camp Magen Av and an associate director for JEP of Queens. He has been an elementary and middle school Rebbe in Yeshiva Day School of Las Vegas for the last 7 years and is also Rosh Kollel of Kollel Chaim Yitzchak- a night kollel in Henderson. Rabbi Kier brings his excitement for Torah and Mussar to all of his talmidim and campers in his charge.
